Hempel’s Cultural Foundation runs the Glass Museum and each year presents the Hempel Glass Prize to a prominent Danish glass artist. The museum has exhibited the works of the Glass Prize recipients since the award was established in 1988 in memory of Jørgen Christian Hempel, 1894-1986.
